Maureen Finucane is a self-taught artist who decided to take up art relatively late in life after many years in teaching. Like many artists embarking on this career, she has experimented with different styles, tried various techniques in many mediums including oils, acrylics, water colour, pen and ink, charcoal and pastels. She feels quite comfortable using pastels now, particularly oil pastels. The albums on this site reflect her changing interests and varied styles since she has started painting.
Maureen has participated in many exhibitions in London. These include Richmond Art House in 2008, 2009 and 2010, The Stables Gallery, Twickenham, 2009, The Landmark Arts Centre, Teddington 2009 and 2010 The Orange Tree Theatre, Richmond, 2011 Brixton Urban Art, Brixton, 2011 Kew Studio Art Exhibition, 2011 The Parkshot Gallery, Richmond, 2011 The Mall Galleries, “Love Pastels” exhibition, February 2012.
